some bad things happened yesterday. and my internet fizzled at around 11 something. (@_@;; i really hate that, a lot. we should just switch ISPs... stupid... right now i'm not really sure of the state of my computer is right now... **worries** other things seem to be working though... at least..

i'm in promotional art right now, at school. my posters came in. (@_@; yeah, i was picked for that fabric of dreams thing. (@_@;;; wahh... it was a cheap win, but whatever. when i have time i'll upload it to my site. (^^; along with other stuff i meant to upload. (@_@; ergh. ergh...

umm. what else was there... oh yeah, i went to the student services office to talk to counselor at lunch on tuesday about post-secondary. (^^; i wonder if it was a learning experience, cos the counselor didn't tell me much that i already didn't know... but i got some info on ryerson and emily carr... emily carr looks cool but i haven't had time to look at their programs yet. Recently Kei and I have written such long posts ne! Thank you all for those who come here to read our posts. Once upon a time, Kei and I did something similar to this sort of shared journal except it was a project with the terrible name of Rant Girls. Ha ha, I feel compelled to post some of the terrible writing we had back then, about 3 to 4 years ago (how time flies), but I think Kei would stab and kill me ha ha. Indeed. It is interesting how long Kei and I have known it other. It seems that I talk to her everyday and to think that I would have a life without a friend like Kei is impossible at this moment. I hope that Kei will stay my friend for many more years! Let's keep a promise ne, Kei.

My heart and soul has been devoured not only by school but other side projects including the Lareine doujinshi and Hikago doujinshi. 5 pages of the Lareine were sketched, but satisfaction was not felt, so I think I will throw them all out. Geikou, whom I am working on the project with (we each draw our own comics), is already at the point of 15/20 pages of sketch she has to do. I admire her so much for her speed. It comes with great difficulty for me, the will to begin to draw or drawing and creating a product that is satisfactory in my eyes. It has become so difficult. And since Lareine... I have to deal with real people, that I hope I can write a story that will not offend them. We have both been sketching out different cover plans. Which one do you like? Saico's and Geikou's. It would appreciate your comments m(_ _)m as they will become very helpful.

I have never been fan of Gundam but, 「認めたくないものだな。自分自身の若さゆえの過ちというものを。」 {motometakunai mono da na. jibunjishin no wakasayue no ayamachi toiu mono wo). sore dewa, SARABADA!

wow! so today was an adventure day again, with jordyn, juu, and gardener... yeah yeah! allllright!

**corny hand-slap**

first i met with juu and we came to the mall early. so i went for sushi. XDD har har. juu got green tea ice cream.. when i took a piece, some accidentally dropped in my sushi, right near the wasabi. i didn't see which one it was.. they both looked the same and i didn't think at all. i figured i'd just pick one up and see if it would melt in my mouth.. yeah. haha. XDD i got the wasabi, not the green tea ice cream. apparently, ju had seen which one it was (wow.. my reaction time was very stupid. to just pick up whatever, i didn't think at all) and she was really shocked. JU SHOCK!.. she laughed very hard... but the wasabi (spit it out on my napkin..! it was very big chunk. super exciting.) wasn't really all that spicy in my mouth for some reason. (^^; desensitized. anyways, i should go back there sometime and get more sushi. XDD it was good. we saw gardener walking around and i had to chase her.. XD haha. she was carrying a sword she bought at the ollar store for juu. it was a snazzy sword. very cool.

we went lots of places today... mostly on whyte ave... transportation takes a long time. (@_@; er. we also got off on the wrong stop, but we were able to stop by on some cool antique shops. XDD one had BIRDS in it. great birds. XDD talking birds. birds that sang "old macdonald had a farm"... and big heavy birds that don't get off this guy's shoulder.. XDD wow. it was great. we saw lobster cages.

when we got to the comic book store, we searched around for awhile.. (^__^) it was fun. so expensive though. (@_@; there were the cutest okage action figure things though. (@_@;; hey koyar.. maybe your birthday won't be kumagorou day anymore. maybe it will be okage day. hahaha...

we talked to darrell, the comic shop owner guy.. we left 5 doujisoup books there. i hope they get bought. i sold them to him much cheaper though, i wonder if i should have made a higher price. (@_@;; ergh. but oh well. it iwll get us coverage, so i don't mind. i pretty just picked up my file and got free comics. XDD the free comics are pretty bad, but of well. haha. free.

lin keeps laughing at me. lin is evil. stop it!

but yeah, we stayed a bit too long at the comic book store. (^^;; ergh. or something like that. (when me and jordyn were thinking about it later, it was probably the talking parrot's fault, we stayed too long there) we had to leave koyar and ju in a huffy (sorry!) and caught the bus back downtown to see the SPIDERMAN MOVIE.

we were a bit late. weird bus ride though. since we were on whyte ave where all the second hand stores are, there was a man who had a end table thing.. he sat beside jordyn.. (@_@;;; it was funny when he set it down cos her had a can of something and he put it on top, like he was at home or something. XDD people started chatting and laughing, and the man said jokingly "yeah, i've got my table, my drink.." then he put his arm around jordyn's shoulders (@_@;; "my girlfriend.." (@_@; it really freaked me out. jordyn too.. haha. she said, holding her bag tho... ".. i've got my pepper spray.." and he took his arm away right away. XDD it was scary funny. (^^:; jordyn, i applaud your wit. but then people near us on the bus started talking to us... weird. i kidn of wanted them to just be quiet.. downtown buses = weird people.

when we got to the theatre, it was a bit late. (@_@; missed a bit of the beginning. but it was an awesome movie. very well casted and the script was done in a way so they talked all campily like in the comic.. XDD yeah! and the flying scenes were so cool. er. this happened in harry potter too, and i know it's not real and all special effects, but i am jealous that they can do such cool things, like leap buildings and stuff. (@_@; unfair. i didn't think tobey maguire would make a good spiderman, but he proved me wrong. i really really loved how they talked like in the comic. the script was bad and good, in that way. XDD hahaha.

these kids sitting in front of us were talking stupidly though. (@_@; jordyn kicked their seats a couple of times. (@_@; the wouldn't shut up. i hate kids these days, i really do. i have yet to meet a supercool ambitious kid with a mind of his/her own.

when the movie was over, we went to second cup and met a guy who liked comics, or something like that. it's weird that on the day we went to see spiderman, everyone in the world were talking about comics. XDD

yeah, that was pretty much today. (^^;; when i think back, people were really nice to us today for some reason, and i am happy for that. (^_^) yay for niceness.

i've decided.. tomorrow, i'm going to get my hair cut. (@_@; it's driving me insane. INSANE! maybe i'll do it in a totally different style... totally different. (@_@; blagh. (@_@; it kind of makes me nervous thinking of it, but yeah. hair = evil.

I just came back from going to the orientation at San Jose State. It started from 8:00 am, and I left campus at around 5 or something. X_X; Such a long day. I'm tired, but I was very happy to go to the orientation. I feel a bit more confident about everything and am actually excited about studying in general.

The campus at SJSU is much larger than Foothill, and there are such a large variety of different types of buildings. We went on a tour of the campus and saw all of the different colleges on campus. Anthropology doesn't have it's own building for classes unfortunately. I hope I don't find myself running from one end of the school to the next. It was very nice to have the tour because it got me all excited about choosing classes. All of the time, I was thinking, maybe I'll take a music class or maybe an art class or maybe a history class. @_@ It felt so exciting. It's weird how I have this thirst to learn.

There also seems to be a lot of activities and facilities for the students. There are several eating places on campus, like the cafeteria, a student operated resturant (it is run by the hospitality majors that work in the resturant as part of their class work), a pizza restuarant, and other nice places to eat and choose from. I'm not talking about the eating places just because I'm hungry right now, but the food at Foothill is really terrible and unhealthy. However, I feel that if I had to eat lunch at SJSU, it wouldn't be too bad ne.

At the end of the day, I was able to go to the Anthropology Department offices. Though there isn't a special building for Anth classes, there are offices. There were 6 people total that came to the same offices are me. However, I was the only Anth major there. The rest of the students were Behavior Science majors, or well, at least interested in it. The Anthropology Department also does advising for that major, so that was why they were there with me. Professor Sikkink was very nice and interacting with her made me feel so much more confident in having choosing this school and choosing this major. She mentioned that there were very few Anth majors and seemed excited to see that I was the only one there today. X_X; Anyway, the whole department seemed to have a great program. Also, because the program isn't impacted, I felt that in the future, I will be able to interact with the professors and get more from their knowledge than if I had chosen Engineering or something. All of the faculty seemed so friendly, I thought. When I went to that presentation on Physical Anth and Archaeology the other day, I got that same feeling too.

Anyway, after everything was done, I bought a course catalog and took a look at the courses I had to take for my major in Cultural Anthropology. This is going to be so fun! I'm so excited! ^-^ I really want to take the courses [Medical Anthropology] and [Language and Culture]. I suppose I will take a Minor too, but it has not been decided what yet. But I'm excited! Now I just need to pass my classes at Foothill and get my AA and I can move on to a different world. I feel so happy. And with the Japan trip coming up with Kei and Viet, things seem to be looking up ne. Ureshii na. BTW, Juu, I'll let you know more about my adventures in Anthropology once I get enrolled at SJSU this coming Fall ne. ^-^

today i saw a real live penguin in class. (@_@; i wanted to pet it, but we weren't allowed. (@_@; it was actually for the science 14 class, but they used our classroom. yeah. so i got to watch too. XDDD it was so cute!! (@_@;; when the trainer girl started talking about mini blue penguis (don't remmebr the actual name of them) i started really wanting one for a pet. Arg, I can't sleep, so I'll talk about Fanime Con. I went to this anime convention, my first ever, for three days to sell Doujisoup books. It was really only myself there, though I had the support of my mom. Er, yea. She sat there and looked after the books when I had to leave for a bit. I didn't really get a chance to look at new anime, but there wasn't really anything new showing. I did check out Gainax's new TV series. It was interesting with the jumping mushrooms. It was difficult to understand because it was all in Kansai ben. >_<; Yay.

added at 08:04am
Sabore again in the morning. I'm much too tired to do the activities in my first morning class (it's P.E.) so, I must sabore. Anyhow, about the convention...

Managing the table for Doujisoup was a very interesting experience. I noticed that the majority of buyers were men. Women would pick up the book and say, "I'll be back," and er, 90% of the time, they never did. Damn women for being so stupid polite. (^_^;; About three or four people that had bought the book came back to the table during those three days to tell me how much they enjoyed the book. That meant a lot to me. Though we didn't sell as much as BAAU Down, the other book that Bella Torta participated in (I don't know WHY, but I digress...), it seemed that everyone that bought the book really enjoyed it. So, that makes me really happy. I don't care very much as long as someone is happy, ne.

I met some old people that I didn't really know very well from high school. You know, various people that I didn't really talk to, but somehow remember their faces. I also by great chance met Danna-chan. She doesn't live in the same state as Fanime Con, but she was down here as a vacation for a week. I can't believe she remembered about me mentioning Doujisoup, as it's been such a long time since I emailed her. >_<; I originally emailed her about Leaf games like Comic Party and stuff because she had a page about those games (it was very neat, I thought). But I got really busy these past few months and never got a chance to email her back. ;_; Anyway, Danna-chan was really nice and cute, deserving of being called -chan. ^o^ It was very nice to meet you, Danna-chan (if you read this journal). I will email you more often. m(_ _)m. Ikuhara sensei (?) also walked by the artist alley and took a look at the book. He actually picked it up and flipped through it. X_X; I was very nervous and somehow forgot all of my Japanese, but I managed to give him a copy. I hope... that he reads it. I also met an interesting trio of people (I think maybe they are younger than you, Kei, by a year or maybe are the same year). They seemed to like Doujisoup a lot. I thought they were very amusing and reminded me of myself. (^^; It wouldn't sound as amusing in words because my writing skills are so weak, but there was singing, dancing, chupa chups, makeshift artist booth, and other fun things that contributed to the amusement. I hope I see them again. They were really fun. (>_<; And also, thank you Jeff Day for stopping by! ^_^--

I didn't get to go to the events, but I met some really cool people. It was very fun, but tiring. It makes me think that I can continue this only for one year more. I want to say more, but I can't think of what would be appropriate. Er, how about, "mata ne."

it's been so long since i've written... needless to say, thing have not been going well, but i don't want to complain about it... (@_@; maybe i will just list them and not discuss them...
  • my dad rushed back unexpectedly to vietnam since my great-aunt (who raised him) is dying. stress all around, i'm dad-less for two weeks.
  • another great aunt on my mom's side has also just passed away a few days ago. i didn't know her, but it's still sad and creepy.
  • i have to repeat physics 20 again next year along with physics 30. i am lazy to even do well anymore in physics now, so i will probably fail all.
  • hikago doujinshi deadline is inching closer. (@_@; money problems.
  • little incidents that cause me stress keep happening, like not having all my signatures on my registration, losing my calculator for the second time this year, losing my little whale that is usually on my bag, losing my mind over the doctor work thing on top of that. i also lost my sandwich yesterday, it must have dropped when i was on my way back from sending jing's package. (@_@; i haven't had lunch in two days.
  • anxiety over having to take drawing 35 next year. being crushed in the class.
on a completely different note, my typing speed is like less than half of what saico's is. (^^; and i really like the new layout. but some things on the side need to be changed as well.. like linking pitas and YACCS and my profile. i want to put up links to my heroes sites too. (@_@; artistic and other.

i actually think i am handling things pretty well. bad things seem to be happening on a string, but it's probably just my overactive emotions. (@_@; lots of people have told me i am crazy over the past while.

and, DOUJISOUP arrived, i'm so happy. (@_@; and yesterday we got two orders, and the books been faring very well at school. i'm so glad. (;_;) so much so. my ray of sunshine. everyone's been so enthusiastic it make me hurt though. (^^; not like i'm not grateful, but i've just been really tired.

the book looks so nice, i cna't get over it. (@_@; i love it so much. (*_*; i'm so proud of everyone beyond work.. great work, great work. i can't wait til we do this again next year. **cough** i will be more organized. lots ofthings are coming up over the next few months. i suppose i am excited, but my back hurts, so i won't show it.

i have a new small drawing job, but i don't think i'm getting paid for it. well, a teacher's wife is doing a play in the Fringe this year, and she just needed one drawing. (@_@; YAY FOR ONE DRAWING. sadkfj hsldfjk shfksdjfhskd fjdhsz i'm kind of glad to do this work though, i don't have to think much. i can just draw whatever. (@_@; yeah. i'll post a screencap if i get time.

i've probably been overbearingly whiney lately, i'm sorry to everyone. (*_*) you're all so great to listen to me whine. thank you.

i'm going to work on that one drawing now. i also have to color the fabric of dreams poster tonight. (@_@; i wasn't to be picked. please pick me and my fish.

I just finished uploading a design for our Bella Torta shared page. I hope that it looks okay on your broswer.

I don't have much to say except that I need to study some more. I have a lot of reading to do. I have a history test on Tuesday. He moved back the date. Thanks goodness. My neck hurts and I need to put a bandage on it. I think that I am in relatively poor health. I don't know what's really happening, but I wish that it would end soon.

Today I had fish for dinner. It was alright. I accidentally fell asleep while reading Physical Anthropology and woke up at 8 pm, hence my appetite was spoiled. Also, the terrible pasta at lunch time didn't help either.

Fernando got his books today. I'm really relieved. Seriously! I thought it would never get there. But for 40$ of my own money, it better get there. The shipping was 2 dollars per book, but it was only 5$ more than normal airmail (who knows how long that will take)

Last night I stayed up really late and finished another ending of ST4.

I don't have a lot of good insights tonight. Sorry about that. But, don't you just like that Black Jack? There is a circle that draws like that and I want to search for their doujinshi. See you all later.

DEPOSITORY.
